DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Sacred Valley of the Inkas – Train trip to Aguas Calientes (Lunch)
(One day before we will get in touch, to coordinate schedule and information that you may require.)
We start our walk at 8:20 am. Pick up from the hotel and we will go to the surprising sacred valley of the Inkas, made up of archaeological sites located in its course that accompanies the Vilcanota river. The first point of visit is the typical craft market of the inhabitants of Ccorao, you can take pictures with their llamas and enjoy the Andean craft markets. We continue our journey to appreciate the magnificent view of the Sacred Valley of the Inkas from the Taray viewpoint. Then we go to visit Pisaq, made up of immense agricultural terraces, housing enclosures and stone warehouses; to tell the whole story of this fantastic site and take photos. Then we go to Urubamba, place of lunch, to savor the rich and varied Peruvian food. On the way we pass through many towns that to this day maintain their gastronomic customs that we will tell you about. We continue our visit to Ollantaytambo, known as the living Inka city, a beautiful example of urbanization with Inka canals made of stone and considered a military, religious and cultural center that remains to this day. After visiting the entire complex, we moved to the Ollantaytambo train station to travel by train to Aguas Calientes, in tourist service (4:36 p.m.). Forbidden to sleep because during the train trip there will be landscapes, archaeological sites and a lot of vegetation. (18h10 pm) Upon arrival our staff will be waiting for you to take you to your selected hotel. (The transfer to the hotel is on foot for 5 minutes, because there are no cars in Aguas Calientes because it is a very small town.)
*You can take a walk through this town that is located in the middle of the mountains and at the foot of Machupicchu. Aguas Calientes has thermal baths that are relaxing and give rise to the name of the city; We recommend visiting the thermal baths, having dinner and resting.
Hotel night in Aguas Calientes.
