DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Lima – Transfer to the Hotel

Welcome to Lima, Peru! Upon arrival in the city of Lima, our host will be waiting to assist you and transfer you to your selected hotel. (There will be a sign with your name and the logo of the Agency, so you can identify it.)  Rest of the afternoon free in the city of Lima.

Day 2: Lima – Trip to Paracas – Ballestas Islands Tour – Free afternoon (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 6:00 am. Pick up from the hotel and we head south to Paracas, an average travel time of 3 hours and along the way we can buy juice and sandwich. Upon arrival in Paracas we headed to the dock to embark on a boat to the Ballestas Islands. During the boat trip you can see the famous Candelabra engraved in the desert and thousands of birds, sea lions, seals in their natural environment and Humboldt penguins. It will be a beautiful natural spectacle to live this experience from start to finish. Then we return to the pier. Lunch at a local restaurant in the bay of Paracas, to enjoy the Peruvian coast. It is recommended to try the «Ceviche» flagship dish of Peru. Rest of the afternoon free in the city of Paracas.

Day 3: Lima – Flight from Lima to Cusco – Transfer to the Hotel – Archaeological City Tour: Temple of the Sun Qoricancha, Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay (Lunch)

At the indicated time the day before, transfer to the Lima airport to fly to Cusco (It is recommended to take a flight that arrives before noon to Cusco). Welcome to Cusco! Upon arrival in the city of Cusco, our host will be waiting to assist you and transfer you to your selected hotel. (There will be a sign with your name and the logo of the Agency, so you can identify it.)  Arriving at the hotel, they will offer you the famous coca tea that will help you acclimatize to the height of Cusco and other helpful tips. Rest of the afternoon free in the city of Cusco. Lunch in a tourist restaurant in the city of Cusco.

After lunch we begin our Archaeological City Tour, it will begin its journey to the Temple of the Sun Qoricancha, an ancient Inka palace worshiping the Sun god, which today is the Temple of the Dominican order. Continuing we go up the city to the fortress of Sacsayhuamán, an imposing construction with megalithic stones. We delve deeper into Inca architecture visiting Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. Finally, we visit the Cathedral of Cusco, the most important temple in the city.

Day 4: Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Inkas Vip: Moray and Salineras with Chincheros – Ollantaytambo – Pisaq (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 8:15 am. Pick up from the hotel and we leave in the direction of Chincheros, you will see a panoramic and privileged view of Chincheros, an amphitheater surrounded by quadrangle-shaped platforms. Then we will be received by a family with their typical costumes where they will show us how they extract many natural colors from the plants they use to dye their fabrics and looms, daily activities and living customs of the town that are maintained to this day. We continue our visit to Moray, an impressive archaeological site with its enormous circular terraces that were used as an agricultural and botanical laboratory. We continue towards the Salineras, to see the fantastic wells, from which salt has been extracted since ancient times for local consumption. We continue our visit to Ollantaytambo, Known as the living Inka city, a beautiful example of urbanization with Inka canals made of stone and considered a military, religious and cultural center that remains to this day. Then we go to Urubamba, place of lunch, to savor the rich and varied Peruvian food. On the way we pass through many towns that to this day maintain their gastronomic customs that we will tell you about. Then we go to visit Pisaq, made up of immense agricultural terraces, housing enclosures and stone warehouses; to tell the whole story of this fantastic site and take photos. Very close to Pisaq we will appreciate the magnificent view of the Sacred Valley of the Inkas from the Taray viewpoint

Day 5: Cusco – Train Station – Km 104 – Wiñayhuayna – Intipunku Puerta del Sol – Aguas Calientes (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Pick up from your hotel (4:40 a.m.) and we travel to the Ollantaytambo train station, to board the train that will take us to Km 104, the starting point of the famous short Inka trail. During the train trip, we will appreciate beautiful landscapes and Inka archaeological sites. At the beginning of the walk we visit the archaeological complex of Chachabamba settlements and buildings that remain, continuing our adventure walking we will arrive at Wiñayhuayna, an impressive site composed of an agricultural center of large Inca terraces, with a fantastic religious and urban sector. Rest and lunch in box lunch enjoying the landscape and vegetation. Then we will continue our path and stairs to reach Intipunku or Puerta del Sol from where you have an indescribable view of all of Machupicchu that will leave you breathless. (Classic Place of Cover of Machupicchu that little by little we will be arriving). In the afternoon we descend until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes.

*You can take a walk through this town that is located in the middle of the mountains and at the foot of Machupicchu. Aguas Calientes has thermal baths that are relaxing and give rise to the name of the city; We recommend visiting the thermal baths, having dinner and resting.

Day 6: Tour in MACHUPICCHU FULL DAY – Cusco (Breakfast and Lunch)

Pick up from your hotel in Aguas Calientes and we leave very early for Machupicchu, one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World or the lost city of the Incas. Our Guide will help you and accompany you to get on the bus to the Inka citadel of Machupicchu. It will be an unforgettable experience, where our Guide will tell you the whole story that surrounds the mysterious Inka citadel in  PRIVATE . You will have free time to take photos as well as the classic  COVER photo from Machupicchu (As you see in the image below). We are going to walk through its incredible terraces, stairways, ceremonial precincts, main square, royal quarters, temple of the three windows and urban areas. Then at the indicated time we descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, to have lunch at the Café Inkaterrra Restaurant. (Lunch a la carte). In the afternoon, travel by train to return and then transfer to your Hotel in Cusco.

Day 7: Rainbow Mountain VININCUNCA by short route – Puno (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 4:20 am. Pick up from the hotel and we go to the south of Cusco, we will pass through small towns and communities that are on the journey, from there continue along a carriage trail with a slight ascent and appreciate Andean camelids such as alpacas and llamas until we reach the starting point of the walk, Llacto (4300 masl). We begin our walk of gradual ascent at a moderate pace, a determining factor in the physical condition of the passenger. You will be able to see community members of the area in their typical clothing and interact with them. After walking approximately 2 hours we will arrive at our fantastic attraction, the Rainbow Mountain or Vinincunca at 5200 masl. You will have enough time to enjoy the place, explore, take photos and recharge your batteries accompanied by the imposing snow-capped “Apu Ausangate”. At the appropriate time we begin the return by the same return that came with a walking time of 1 hour to reach the transport. Breakfast and lunch will be during the route. (If you don’t want to walk all the way, you can avoid it by renting a horse from the locals, at an average additional cost of 100 soles) After lunch we head towards Puno, an average trip of 6 hours by Van.

Day 8: Full day tour Uros and Taquile floating islands – Puno (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 7:00 am. Pick up from the hotel and we embark from the pier in Puno by boat to visit the famous Lake Titicaca. During our boat trip you will be surprised by the impressive views of the Lake that adorns the natural beauty and its inhabitants with their typical costumes of the area. The Uros islands are a group of floating islands built on the basis of reeds, where many families live to give us a beautiful explanation of their day-to-day customs and traditions. Free time to walk in their typical canoes. Lunch at a local restaurant belonging to the inhabitants of the islands. After continuing to travel by boat, we arrive at Taquile, where the well-organized community warmly welcomes tourists in their traditional clothing. Most of the inhabitants are good artisans that were inherited from generation to generation. Return to Puno.

Day 9: Transfer to the Airport – Return to your country (Breakfast)
