DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Lima – Transfer to the Hotel

Welcome to Lima, Peru! Upon arrival in the city of Lima, our host will be waiting to assist you and transfer you to your selected hotel. (There will be a sign with your name and the logo of the Agency, so you can identify it.)  Rest of the afternoon free in the city of Lima.

Day 2: Lima - Tour to Pachacamac – Colonial and Modern City tour (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 9:45 am. Pick up from the hotel and we go to the south of the city to start our visit to the archaeological complex of Pachacamac which means «The Lord of the World». Considered part of the mystical axis of the world at the beginning of the Christian era. It has a pre-Hispanic ceremonial center located on the Pacific coast built in adobe or known as mud bricks. Then we return to Barranco, passing by the beaches of the green coast with views of the ocean, the villa wetlands and the chaotic urban city. Lunch at a local restaurant, to savor the rich and varied Peruvian food including ceviches, chaufas and many good options. We continue our walk towards the center of Lima, formerly known as the city of kings, visiting different districts such as Miraflores, San Isidro (financial centers of the Peruvian capital). The center of Lima stands out for being the colonial part, with mansions and convents such as San Francisco, which has cloisters, tombs and coffins that remain to this day. Rest of the afternoon free in Lima.

Day 3: Lima – Trip to Paracas – Ballestas Islands Tour – Free afternoon (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 6:00 am. Pick up from the hotel and we head south to Paracas, an average travel time of 3 hours and along the way we can buy juice and sandwich. Upon arrival in Paracas we headed to the dock to embark on a boat to the Ballestas Islands. During the boat trip you can see the famous Candelabra engraved in the desert and thousands of birds, sea lions, seals in their natural environment and Humboldt penguins. It will be a beautiful natural spectacle to live this experience from start to finish. Then we return to the pier. Lunch at a local restaurant in the bay of Paracas, to enjoy the Peruvian coast. It is recommended to try the «Ceviche» flagship dish of Peru. Rest of the afternoon free in the city of Paracas.

Day 4: Paracas – Free morning – Huacachina Oasis – Paracas (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at noon. Pick up from the hotel and we go to the lunch place. In the afternoon we visit the famous Huacachina Oasis located in the desert of the Ica dunes. (It is recommended to do Tubular and Sandboarding in the dunes, which are the buggies in the dunes and the use of the board in the dunes, which has an additional cost.) Free time to walk around the Oasis and take photos. At the end of the afternoon we return to Paracas.

Day 5: Paracas – Trip to Nazca – Overflight Nazca Lines – Nazca – Elephant Trunk Beach (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 7:15 am. Pick up from the hotel and we go to Nazca, average travel time of 3 hours. Much of the southern Peruvian coast is a sandy desert with very little vegetation. Upon arrival in Nazca, we boarded the plane from the aerodrome to fly over the enigmatic Nazca lines for an average time of 45 minutes. Only by flying over can you appreciate all the images that exist in the sand, which was possibly a calendar or a means of communication with beings from other planets; You can see figures such as man, monkey, condor, spider, hummingbird, tree, parrot and hands. (It is recommended to have a light breakfast so as not to get dizzy.)Lunch at a local tourist restaurant, to savor the rich and varied Peruvian food in the Paracas Bay. In the afternoon we go to visit the Trompa de Elefante Beach, which is a natural rock formation located on the Peruvian coast, very similar to the shape of an elephant carved in rock. Take advantage of the time to take many photos and enjoy the natural landscape.

Return to Nazca and transfer to the hotel.

Day 6: Nazca – Arequipa (Breakfast and Box lunch)

We begin our trip from Nazca to the city of Arequipa, the journey will be an average of 8 to 9 hours, according to the influx of vehicles on the road. During the trip, stops will be made so as not to feel the length of the trip that are worth it before arriving in Arequipa, due to the beautiful coastal landscapes that Peru has. During the trip we will have a boxed lunch given the travel distance and because it will be better to opt for a boxed lunch provided by the agency, as well as snacks. Arrival to the city of Arequipa in the afternoon.

Day 7: Arrival in Arequipa – City Tour in Arequipa – Afternoon free (Breakfast and Lunch)

In the morning 9:00 a.m. We begin our walk through the city of Arequipa, known as the white city. We walk through the center of the city to visit its beautiful streets, the main square where its Cathedral stands out, in the baroque style, with a beautiful facade. Then we go to the traditional neighborhood of Yanahuara that has a beautiful viewpoint of the city and the Misti volcano, which adorns the city; as well as the Carmen Alto viewpoint, where it has terraces and views of other volcanoes such as Chachani and Pichu Picchu. Lunch at a local restaurant with typical food from the city. Rest of the afternoon free.

Day 8: Arequipa – Chivay (Breakfast and Lunch)

n the morning 7:30 a.m. We begin our walk towards the town of Chivay. During the journey we will appreciate beautiful views of the volcanoes of Misti, Chachani and Pichu pichu; as well as the national reserve of «Salinas y Aguada blanca», which protects many species of South American camelids where the vicuña stands out, typical of its natural habitat. The landscapes of the Andes can be seen with the naked eye where the many snow-capped and thawed mountains stand out in the area that runs through the mountains, to then reach Chivay. Upon entering the Chivay valley, you can already appreciate the formations of beautiful multicolored terraces in the mountains. Lunch to savor the typical food of the place. Rest of the afternoon free.

Day 9: Colca Canyon – Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint – Trip to Puno (Breakfast and Lunch)

In the morning 7:00 a.m. We begin our walk towards the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, from where there is a viewpoint to see the depth of the canyon and appreciate the sight of the condors’ flights, where to this day they are preserved in their natural habitat. Free time to stroll or walk along the edge of the canyon and take photos. After a short time we will return to Chivay, passing through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque. We visit the traditional villages of the Colca Valley and its enormous Inka terraces. Lunch at a local tourist restaurant in the town of Chivay. In the afternoon travel to Puno.

Day 10: Full day tour Floating islands of the Uros and Taquile – Puno (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 7:00 am. Pick up from the hotel and we embark from the pier in Puno by boat to visit the famous Lake Titicaca. During our boat trip you will be surprised by the impressive views of the Lake that adorns the natural beauty and its inhabitants with their typical costumes of the area. The Uros islands are a group of floating islands built on the basis of reeds, where many families live to give us a beautiful explanation of their day-to-day customs and traditions. Free time to walk in their typical canoes. Lunch at a local restaurant belonging to the inhabitants of the islands. After continuing to travel by boat, we arrive at Taquile, where the well-organized community warmly welcomes tourists in their traditional clothing. Most of the inhabitants are good artisans that were inherited from generation to generation. Return to Puno.

Day 11: Puno – Trip Ruta del Sol to Cusco (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our trip to Puno at 7:30 am. Pick up from the hotel and we go to Cusco. Our trip will be throughout the day visiting many important sites along the way. Our first visit is the archaeological complex of Pukara, with notable characteristics in its stone constructions, as well as the elaboration of the famous clay bulls. Then we will visit the archaeological complex of Raqchi, known as the temple to the «God Wiracocha» with multiple buildings around it. On the way you will enjoy a typical lunch in a local restaurant. Continuing our trip we visit Andahuaylillas, known as the Sistine Chapel, a beautiful and imposing church from the 27th century. Then we visit Rumiqolqa, a pre-Inca fortress of impressive size that stands out in sight. To arrive in Cusco in the afternoon.

Day 12: Cusco – Tours Moray and Salineras with Chincheros – Abode of the Gods (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 8:15 am. Pick up from the hotel and we leave in the direction of Chincheros, you will see a panoramic and privileged view of Chincheros, an amphitheater surrounded by quadrangle-shaped platforms. Then we will be received by a family with their typical costumes where they will show us how they extract many natural colors from the plants they use to dye their fabrics and looms, daily activities and living customs of the town that are maintained to this day. We continue our visit to Moray, an impressive archaeological site with its enormous circular terraces that were used as an agricultural and botanical laboratory. We continue towards the Salineras, to see the fantastic wells, from which salt has been extracted since ancient times for local consumption. During the return to the city we will be served a delicious lunch, to savor the rich and varied Peruvian food. In the afternoon we will visit contemporary artistic monuments known as Apukunaq Tianan which means Abode of the Gods, made of living stone respecting the pristineness of the rock.

Day 13: Sacred Valley of the Inkas – Train trip to Aguas Calientes (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 8:20 am. Pick up from the hotel and we will go to the surprising sacred valley of the Inkas, made up of archaeological sites located in its course that accompanies the Vilcanota river. The first point of visit is the typical craft market of the inhabitants of Ccorao, you can take pictures with their llamas and enjoy the Andean craft markets. We continue our journey to appreciate the magnificent view of the Sacred Valley of the Inkas from the Taray viewpoint. Then we go to visit Pisaq, made up of immense agricultural terraces, housing enclosures and stone warehouses; to tell the whole story of this fantastic site and take photos. Then we go to Urubamba, place of lunch, to savor the rich and varied Peruvian food. On the way we pass through many towns that to this day maintain their gastronomic customs that we will tell you about. We continue our visit to Ollantaytambo, known as the living Inka city, a beautiful example of urbanization with Inka canals made of stone and considered a military, religious and cultural center that remains to this day. After visiting the entire complex, we moved to the Ollantaytambo train station to travel by train to Aguas Calientes, in tourist service (4:36 p.m.). Forbidden to sleep because during the train trip there will be landscapes, archaeological sites and a lot of vegetation. (18h10 pm) Upon arrival our staff will be waiting for you to take you to your selected hotel. (The transfer to the hotel is on foot for 5 minutes, because there are no cars in Aguas Calientes because it is a very small town.)

*You can take a walk through this town that is located in the middle of the mountains and at the foot of Machupicchu. Aguas Calientes has thermal baths that are relaxing and give rise to the name of the city; We recommend visiting the thermal baths, having dinner and resting.

Day 14: Tour in MACHUPICCHU FULL DAY – Cusco (Breakfast and Lunch)

Pick up from your hotel in Aguas Calientes and we leave very early for Machupicchu, one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World or the lost city of the Incas. Our Guide will help you and accompany you to get on the bus to the Inka citadel of Machupicchu. It will be an unforgettable experience, where our Guide will tell you the whole story that surrounds the mysterious Inka citadel in PRIVATE . You will have free time to take photos, as well as the classic COVER photo of Machupicchu (As you see in the image below).  We are going to walk through its incredible terraces, stairways, ceremonial precincts, main square, royal quarters, temple of the three windows and urban areas. Then at the indicated time we descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, to have lunch at the Café Inkaterrra Restaurant. (Lunch a la carte). In the afternoon, travel by train to return and then transfer to your Hotel in Cusco.
