DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco – Transfer to the Hotel (Lunch)

Welcome to Cusco! Upon arrival in the city of Cusco, our host will be waiting to assist you and transfer you to your selected hotel. (There will be a sign with your name and the logo of the Agency, so you can identify it.) Arriving at the hotel, they will offer you the famous coca tea that will help you acclimatize to the height of Cusco and other helpful tips. Rest of the afternoon free in the city of Cusco.

Day 2: Cusco – Archaeological City Tour: Temple of the Sun Qoricancha, Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay – South Valley of Cusco: Rumiqolqa, Tipon Inka temple dedicated to Water (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 8:00 am. Pick up from the hotel and we leave in the direction of the South Valley of Cusco to visit Rumiqolqa, a pre-Inka fortress of imposing size that stands out in sight. Very close to there we visit Tipon, known as the Temple to Water, with impressive aqueducts and canals with good applied hydraulic engineering technique. Free time to take photos and tour the entire complex where the water sources coming from the top of the mountain stand out. During the return to the city we will be served a delicious lunch, to savor the rich and varied Peruvian food.

After lunch we begin our Archaeological City Tour, it will begin its journey to the Temple of the Sun Qoricancha, an ancient Inka palace worshiping the Sun god, which today is the Temple of the Dominican order. Continuing we go up the city to the fortress of Sacsayhuamán, an imposing construction with megalithic stones. We delve deeper into Inca architecture visiting Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. Finally, we visit the Cathedral of Cusco, the most important temple in the city.

Day 3: Turquoise lagoon of HUMANTAY – Cusco (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 4:00 am. Pick up from the hotel and we go to the north of Cusco, we will pass through small towns and communities that are on the journey, from there continue along a carriageway trail with a slight ascent and appreciate various landscapes covered by dense fog until we reach the starting point. start of the walk, Soraypampa (3900 masl). We begin our walk of gradual ascent at a moderate pace, a determining factor in the physical condition of the passenger. After walking for approximately 2 hours we will arrive at our fantastic attraction, the turquoise Humantay Lagoon at 4200 meters above sea level. Composed of the melting of the snowy «Apu Salkantay» and microalgae that give the natural hue of the lagoon. You will have enough time to enjoy the place, explore, take photos and recharge your batteries accompanied by the imposing snow-capped “Apu Salkantay”. At the appropriate time we begin the return by the same return that came with a walking time of 1 hour to reach the transport that will take us back to Cusco. Breakfast and lunch will be during the route. (If you don’t want to walk all the way, you can avoid it by renting a horse from the locals, at an average additional cost of 100 soles)

Day 4: Mountain of Colors VININCUNCA by short route – Cusco (Breakfast and Lunch)

Day 5: Cusco – Tours Moray and Salineras with Chincheros – Abode of the Gods (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 8:15 am. Pick up from the hotel and we leave in the direction of Chincheros, you will see a panoramic and privileged view of Chincheros, an amphitheater surrounded by quadrangle-shaped platforms. Then we will be received by a family with their typical costumes where they will show us how they extract many natural colors from the plants they use to dye their fabrics and looms, daily activities and living customs of the town that are maintained to this day. We continue our visit to Moray, an impressive archaeological site with its enormous circular terraces that were used as an agricultural and botanical laboratory. We continue towards the Salineras, to see the fantastic wells, from which salt has been extracted since ancient times for local consumption. During the return to the city we will be served a delicious lunch, to savor the rich and varied Peruvian food. In the afternoon we will visit contemporary artistic monuments known as Apukunaq Tianan which means Abode of the Gods, made of living stone respecting the pristineness of the rock.

Day 6: Sacred Valley of the Inkas – Train trip to Aguas Calientes (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 8:20 am. Pick up from the hotel and we will go to the surprising sacred valley of the Inkas, made up of archaeological sites located in its course that accompanies the Vilcanota river. The first point of visit is the typical craft market of the inhabitants of Ccorao, you can take pictures with their llamas and enjoy the Andean craft markets. We continue our journey to appreciate the magnificent view of the Sacred Valley of the Inkas from the Taray viewpoint. Then we go to visit Pisaq, made up of immense agricultural terraces, housing enclosures and stone warehouses; to tell the whole story of this fantastic site and take photos. Then we go to Urubamba, place of lunch, to savor the rich and varied Peruvian food. On the way we pass through many towns that to this day maintain their gastronomic customs that we will tell you about. We continue our visit to Ollantaytambo, known as the living Inka city, a beautiful example of urbanization with Inka canals made of stone and considered a military, religious and cultural center that remains to this day. After visiting the entire complex, we moved to the Ollantaytambo train station to travel by train to Aguas Calientes, in tourist service (4:36 p.m.). Forbidden to sleep because during the train trip there will be landscapes, archaeological sites and a lot of vegetation. (18h10 pm) Upon arrival our staff will be waiting for you to take you to your selected hotel. (The transfer to the hotel is on foot for 5 minutes, because there are no cars in Aguas Calientes because it is a very small town.)

*You can take a walk through this town that is located in the middle of the mountains and at the foot of Machupicchu. Aguas Calientes has thermal baths that are relaxing and give rise to the name of the city; We recommend visiting the thermal baths, having dinner and resting.

Day 7: Tour in MACHUPICCHU FULL DAY – Cusco (Breakfast and Lunch)

Pick up from your hotel in Aguas Calientes and we leave very early for Machupicchu, one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World or the lost city of the Incas. Our Guide will help you and accompany you to get on the bus to the Inka citadel of Machupicchu. It will be an unforgettable experience, where our Guide will tell you the whole story that surrounds the mysterious Inka citadel in PRIVATE . You will have free time to take photos, as well as the classic COVER photo of Machupicchu (As you see in the image below).  We are going to walk through its incredible terraces, stairways, ceremonial precincts, main square, royal quarters, temple of the three windows and urban areas. Then at the indicated time we descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, to have lunch at the Café Inkaterrra Restaurant. (Lunch a la carte). In the afternoon, travel by train to return and then transfer to your Hotel in Cusco.

Day 8: Cusco – Trip Ruta del Sol to Puno (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our trip to Puno at 7:30 am. Pick up from the hotel and we head south to Puno. Our trip will be throughout the day visiting many important sites along the way. Our first visit is Andahuaylillas, known as the Sistine Chapel, a beautiful and imposing church from the 27th century. Then we visit Rumiqolqa, a pre-Inca fortress of impressive size that stands out in sight. Then we will visit the archaeological complex of Raqchi, known as the temple to the «God Wiracocha» with multiple buildings around it. On the way you will enjoy a typical lunch in a local restaurant. Continuing our trip we will visit the archaeological complex of Pukara, with notable characteristics in its stone constructions, as well as the elaboration of the famous clay bulls. To arrive in Puno in the afternoon.

Day 9: Full day tour of the Uros and Amantani floating islands (Breakfast and Lunch)

We start our walk at 7:00 am. Pick up from the hotel and we embark from the pier in Puno by boat to visit the famous Lake Titicaca. During our boat trip you will be surprised by the impressive views of the Lake that adorns the natural beauty and its inhabitants with their typical costumes of the area. The Uros islands are a group of floating islands built on the basis of reeds, where many families live to give us a beautiful explanation of their day-to-day customs and traditions. Free time to walk in their typical canoes. Lunch at a local restaurant belonging to the inhabitants of the islands. Then we go to visit the island of Amantani, we continue on an average boat trip of 2 hours, taking advantage of the scenic beauty of the lake. When we arrive, the inhabitants of the island welcome us, Families provide attention to tourists as an experiential tourism to live together and learn more about their customs and traditions. After settling in their rustic and typical lodgings, we suggest visiting the sacred mountains known as Pachatata, this beautiful island has endless activities such as agriculture on platforms, raising guinea pigs, weaving and stone carvings.

Day 10: Taquile Island – Puno (Breakfast and Lunch)
